Precision Auto Detailing | April 2024

​TERMS & CONDITIONS

​

1. Prices: All Detailing services are inclusive of all material and service charges (GST Inclusive) unless otherwise stated. As part of Precision Auto Detailing's policy to improve the quality of services, the company reserves the right to alter the specifications of any services without any prior notice.

Precision Auto Detailing reserves the right to modify its pricing schedule or any quotation without any prior notice.

 

2. Payment: Full payment must be made before our staff member leaves the premises. All invoices to businesses are due within 7 days. If no payment is made, or there is a dispute/disagreement, staff of Precision Auto Detailing have the right to hold vehicle keys as insurance. 

 

3. Bookings: All bookings require a Full Name, Mobile Number, Email and an Address. 
All bookings require a booking fee to secure your booking date/time. This payment must be received by Precision Auto Detailing  24 hours prior to the scheduled time. If no payment has been received by Precision Auto Detailing 24 hours prior to the booking time, the booking automatically times out and is removed from our system.

 

4. Cancellations: Any cancellations and/or requests to reschedule must be made at least 24 hours before your booking day and time. Cancellations within 24 hours will be incur a cancellation fee, in most cases this fee will be the booking fee which was paid to secure your booking.

 

5. Non-payment: Unpaid invoices can and will be subject to late payment fees, and debt collection fees. 

 

6. Call Out Fees: Call out fees may apply to customers outside of our usual service area. (15km+ from Christchurch CBD)

 

7. Weather: If weather were to interfere with your booking, we will be in contact to reschedule your appointment at the earliest possible time. The rescheduled appointment will be on the basis of availability and your booking fee will carry over to your rescheduled time.

 

8. Best Efforts Basis: The services provided by Precision Auto Detailing are provided on a best efforts’ basis. This means older vehicles, heavily soiled vehicles or damaged vehicles may not be able to be restored to our high detailing standards. Precision Auto Detailing will not be held responsible in the event that we are unable to clean, remove stains, or otherwise restore any surface, fabric, or condition on your vehicle. Some specifics that may cause concerns include but are not limited to - Fish Odour, Milk Stains/Odour, Mould, Mould Stains, Pet Hair and Odours, Debris between seats, Windows, Heavy Staining, Grass, Sand and Vomit. Our detailing times are an estimate only as each vehicle is different and may require more or less time to fulfil the service type.
 

9. Pet Hair: Minor pet hair removal is inclusive with our services, however if you are unhappy with results, or have excessive pet hair, we may charge extra to remove pet hair. - there is no guarantee for 100% removal due to the nature of pet hair and carpets.

 

10. Areas not cleaned: If the Glove Box or Centre Console areas are not emptied before services commence, these areas will not be disturbed in respect of the owners belongings. If you would like these areas to be cleaned, please ensure that they are completely empty of any belongings. 

 

11. Car Seat/Baby Seat: Precision Auto Detailing is not responsible for securing infant/child car seats; if necessary, we will remove infant/child car seat - However we are not responsible for securing the infant/child car seat once services are completed, nor we are liable for any accidents that may be caused because of an improperly installed infant/child car seat. 

 

12. Personal Belongings: Customers should remove all personal belongings, money, and other significant items from their vehicle prior to any type of service. If you have booked a detailing service, please make sure your vehicle is in a reasonable condition by removing excess items and litter from the interior, door pockets, under seats, centre consoles and boot areas. Either remove all your personal belongings, or put them in a bag. Any items that may resemble rubbish could be considered disposable and therefore, removed. Precision Auto Detailing will not be held responsible in such situations. Precision Auto Detailing will not accept liability for any loss or damage to personal belongings left in a vehicle whilst it is being detailed.

 

13. Maintenance Detailing: The purpose of our maintenance services are to provide our customers with a clean vehicle on a monthly basis. This service is designed for regular bookings for a single vehicle, per month. All maintenance vehicles must have a full detail service completed by us before starting our monthly maintenance detailing services.

 

14. Engine Bay Detailing: Engine steam cleaning/engine water cleaning whilst every care is taken when carrying out an engine steam clean/hand clean, there is a very slim chance that water interruptions might occur. This could cause an electrical fault in the engine. In most cases, the fault will be temporary in nature and will resolve itself once the engine has dried. Occasionally, the fault is more serious and could have a lasting effect on the engine's performance. For the above reasons, this service can only be carried out at the owner's risk. We will not be held liable for faults occurring as a result of this service.

 

15. Interior Shampoo: If the seats and carpet have been shampooed or steam cleaned we do leave a small portion of all windows open when we complete our services, this is to avoid moisture build-up. 
We recommend you park your car inside/in your garage overnight - upholstery and carpets can take several hours to completely dry.

 

16. Damages: We will not be held responsible for any damage to your vehicle arising from ill-fitting trim, loose or faulty parts. Please ensure you make us aware of any potential problems before we start any services. Precision Auto Detailing does not take any responsibility for any MECHANICAL or ELECTRICAL issues or any damage caused whatsoever later on.

 

17. Paint Failures: Removing dirt from a vehicle’s surface can reveal scratches, faults, dents and bumps. We cannot accept responsibility for what lies underneath. We are not responsible for any damages that were revealed by obstructing dirt/debris. We will not be held responsible to fix any paint failures that may occur during cleaning.

18. Paint Correction: All Paint Correction services involve some form of risk. While we do take precautionary steps to ensure the service will not damage your vehicle, in some cases we may warn owners of the vehicle that the clear coat remaining on the vehicle is very thin. In such cases some damage may occur. All Paint Correction services are at the owners risk.

 

19. Customer Abusive or Threatening: Precision Auto Detailing reserves the right to refuse or deny any booking or discontinue with their service if they deem the customer to be unreasonable. Precision Auto Detailing will not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse towards any of its staff under any circumstances and will take the relevant actions should such behaviour be encountered.

 

20. Refund Policy:  Whilst every effort is made to ensure that our services are carried out to the highest standard according to the condition of each vehicle, the client is advised to check the vehicle(s) on completion of the service. In the event that you are not satisfied with our service, our staff member should be made aware before the service is completed and the keys returned. No responsibility will be accepted by Precision Auto Detailing for omissions or discrepancies detected after the customer has had their keys returned. Precision Auto Detailing offers NO REFUND or exchange on any of our services, unless required by law.
